Based on a Monotype 1930s condensed poster typeface, Placard Next is bursting with personality. Unexpected details appear throughout the design, from its wedged diagonals and single storey a to its round tittles – which would more ordinarily be square, and mechanical. The warmth and quirkiness of its character really shines through when set at larger sizes, making this a typeface for posters, headlines, and anywhere else designers need to make a statement. Designer Malou Verlomme has paid particular attention to the typeface’s ‘word images’, further amping up its impact, and added some vintage flavor with Placard Next Round.

As well as a striking display typeface, Placard Next’s four widths and six weights – hairline to bold - mean it’s a versatile design, that can be adapted for use in almost any environment. The complete family contains 48 fonts: 24 in Placard Next and 24 in Placard Next Round. It includes a large multilingual character set.

The early Twentieth Century was a golden age for cinema, and for the artists who lettered the iconic title sequences. Stanffords Family evokes the soul of this vintage brush lettering with a modern twist. Its main characteristics are bouncy baseline, round forms. Xavier Dupre’s Molto font family is a tonal master, creating tenderness in a slab serif and tempering toughness with flourishes. Slab serifs created their original niche by their ability to grab attention and overwhelm, which caused them to be seen as strong, dominant, and desired fonts, especially in advertising. Slab serifs are the result of placing defined edges on something meant to take up an inordinate amount of space, rather than meant to be graceful. Molto updates this concept to allow a greater, and gentler, range in the lighter weights.

Molto’s nine weights are defined by their intended use. The two extreme weights (Hair and Fat) act as display partners for magazines, titles, and posters. The Hair weight is runway ready with its sturdy serifs, breathy internal space, and stable lettershapes that were designed both to perform and impress. Molto’s Fat weight packs maximum punch in a believable way. Its wide and deliberate curves contrast against thin connections and landing strip stems. Molto can be put to perfect use in a fashion magazine using swashy Hair headlines set against its darkest weight.

Molto’s seven intermediate weights, with their classic and legible shapes, are meant for texts of all sizes. The notches on diagonals, distinct numerals, and acute terminals grant benefits from caption sizes up to headings. Molto’s refined light weights and punchy heavy weights set the stage for a swashy surprise — alternate capital letters act as refined garments laid atop its concrete skeleton.

The Molto font family rejects saving space in favour of intensifying shapes, placing maximum weight on the edges for better legibility and impact. Latin-based digital and printed designs will benefit from Molto’s design voice and breadth. This means UI, video, and online text, and print materials like dictionaries, packaging, advertising, and branding can all put Molto’s robust forms to multipurpose use. Molto successfully creates balance in a slab serif design: an opinionated and striking type family, stalwart in captions and exuberant in display, thanks to swashes which add some originality to the slab category.

Papillon Script is an eloquent pen script with large display capitals and small but legible lowercase letters. It’s ideal for logo, headline, brochure, model for a neon sign or any display use like that. Papillon Script is completely monolinear and it gives a clear but vivid impression of a hand writing style.

Papillon Script is equipped with following OpenType features:
• Standard Ligatures is automatically on and it adds variation and smoothness to typing. If a same letter repeats in the same word the latter will automatically change to an alternative version.
• Contextual Alternates is an optional feature that cuts the connection between letters every once in awhile.
• Titling Alternates changes the last character in every word into an ending Swash alternative.
• From Stylistic Set 1 you’ll find a set of 34 ornaments, strokes and arrows.
• Small Caps turns lowercase into a set of legible capital letters.

This font set is based on Frank Lloyd Wright’s hand-lettering found on the Chicago Midway Gardens working drawings from 1913. This type of architectural lettering is a bit more casual than standard lettering found on most blueprints. It evokes the personality of Frank Lloyd Wright and complements the other fonts in the P22 FLW font series.

Midway One and Midway Two can be used interchangeably to give a more naturalistic feeling of hand lettering. Midway Ornaments features over 100 decorative border elements that can be combined is many ways for surprising and effective decorative motifs.

Midway One and Midway Two have been remastered and now contain over 400 characters including support for Western and Central European languages.

Eight years after the initial release of Brandon Grotesque, the typeface has grown into a font family of 48 styles, including a version for small sizes and a space saving condensed version. This type family was completely drawn from scratch with the look and feel of the original normal-width version. Today, Brandon supports at least 116 languages, from Latin based languages to Greek and Cyrillic.

Litmus is the newest typeface from ITF founder Satya Rajpurohit. It is a slightly condensed humanist sans serif design, with a tall x-height and strokes that end with either horizontal or vertical terminals, instead of diagonals. Ascenders rise noticeable above the tops of capital letters, while the fonts’ numerals are slightly shorter than the caps. Litmus’s interior counterforms are rather open. There are five weights on offer: the Light is monolinear, but the stroke-contrast grows with every weight. The amount of contrast in the Bold is quite high. Each Litmus font makes use of a double-storey ‘a’ and single-storey ‘g’. The fonts may be put to excellent use for text on websites, or in print – especially in documents where a little space-saving is necessary.
